Windows, macOS and Linux, with small native installers.
Before the first real feature you need storage that survives upgrades, a way to sell and check licenses, updates users can trust, installers for three systems, and a release process you can repeat. This kit has those done and tested.
One wrapper per command, errors that read like sentences, and a browser preview mode with a mock backend for fast UI work.
Bundled SQLite (nothing to install), versioned migrations, a settings store and a full create/read/update/delete example to copy.
Check, download with progress, install, restart. Hosted on GitHub Releases, with a step-by-step key setup guide.
Push a tag and GitHub Actions builds Windows, macOS and Linux installers and drafts the release with the update manifest.
Sidebar navigation, light/dark/system theme, toasts, first-run screen, keyboard shortcuts, tray icon, single instance, remembered window size.
Rust and UI tests that run in CI, a one-command rename script, and guides for updates, releasing and code signing.

Not to start. The Rust side is small and commented, and the UI talks to it through typed wrappers. You'll write Rust when you want native features, and the example feature shows the pattern.
Tauri uses the system webview, so installers and memory use are much smaller. Your UI is still React and TypeScript.
Tauri 2, the current stable line. If Tauri 3 becomes stable, a migration will ship as an update within your 12 months.
The docs walk through Windows and macOS signing and the release workflow is set up for it, but certificates are yours to buy. Updates are signed with your own key either way.
Refund terms will be published with the launch.
